How long have you been a Dragon?
Two years, start of 2023.
What is your junior club?
St Bedes/Mentone Tigers.
Nickname if any?
Aida.
Preferred position on the field?
Key back. A bit of wing last year for my juniors.
If I’m not mistaken you were tossing up between basketball and football, was it a hard decision or was it always footy?
It was a hard decision because I love basketball, I still love it. But I knew what was best for me and I have a strong passion for footy, I definitely haven’t looked back.
Player who you try to model your game after?
Sam Taylor, and I like the way Tom Barrass goes about it. Connor Idun as well.
Any pre game rituals?
I’m pretty chill. I like to get electrolytes in, whether that's Gatorade or Powerade so I don’t cramp in games. I like doing some breathing as well.
What’s one thing the coach often says?
Committing to the contest. Go one-hundred percent, don’t just go fifty-percent.
Favourite team to beat in the CTL?
Obviously there’s a bit of tension with Oakleigh, it’s always good to get a win against them.
Obviously you’ve been a part of the Saints NGA for a while now, can you tell me a bit about your experience?
I’ve loved it. I’ve been involved in a couple of programs like the NGA and the All Nations Program too. It’s been unreal, the amount of support and resources they give you to make you a better person on and off the field. It’s something I’m really grateful for.
One music artist for the rest of your life?
Skepta, I’ve been getting into him a bit more. But can’t go wrong with Drake.
If you weren’t playing footy, what would you be doing?
Probably Uni, but something short-term. Also play some domestic basketball on the side.
A famous person who you would like to meet?
If we’re really going out there, I’d say LeBron.
If you were stuck on a deserted island for 24 hours, which two teammates are you picking to be there with you?
Brodie, he has a lot of weird knowledge. And maybe Harry Oliver, he has a fair bit of courage, he can do all the hard stuff.
AFL Grand Final - day, twilight or night?
I’d go twilight or day.
What do you feel you’ve made big strides on this year in terms of your game?
Using my strengths more, and playing with a team-first mindset.
What do you get up to outside of footy?
Hang out with mates, hang around my family, a bit of work when I can.
What do you want to get out of this last part of the season?
Just keep winning to finish as high as we can on the ladder. And with finals, hopefully go all the way with the team. Play some consistent footy too.
